Coaching for Women
Why coaching specifically for women?
The workplace has challenges and opportunities for all genders. There are however many factors that impede women’s careers that are specific to them. Women have different barriers, anxieties, and issues than men, and communications and behaviours can be perceived differently.
These challenges are evidenced by the massive drop off between the percentage of women at entry level (50%) and the percentage at senior management (approx. 20%)
Specific issues I help with can include: societal expectations of women, people pleasing, unconscious bias, asking for promotion or equal pay, imposter syndrome or work life balance.

Group Coaching
I provide group coaching specifically designed for any given client, or organisation, and often for women’s network groups. I don’t believe “one size fits all” Each organisation, or group, needs to have a programme tailored to them for it to work well.
The programme can be focussed specifically on women speaking and being heard or can cover wider topics.

121 Coaching
121 coaching is totally client centric, driven by the needs and objectives of the individual.
It can focus on a specific objective such as achieving promotion or dealing with a particular issue. It can also be a much broader and exploratory approach that enables the client to fully understand themselves and to optimise performance. It can also provide space to process and strategize the challenges and opportunities of the workplace.
What I have experienced myself and observed throughout my career is that women can be held back by not recognising the (sometimes subtle and sometimes not so subtle) challenges and bias that surround them; these challenges and biases can negatively affect women’s careers, and their professional and personal fulfilment.
I wrote the book “She Said” as a handbook for women to help ensure their voices get heard.
I believe a gender balanced workplace is both fair and effective and yet we are a long way off achieving that. The pressure of the workplace for women is often intense and my coaching proposition seeks to provide the precious opportunity for women to have space and support to identify, process and overcome all the challenges faced, so that they can continue their career progress.
